The BHS Newsletter, 17th Edition: Monday, December 5th, 2022
A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL...
Students, Parents, Faculty, and Staff,
As we wind down the Fall semester with less than two weeks left, this week we have multiple opportunities to see our Fine Arts students perform (see schedule below). We also encourage you to travel to the Alamodome this Friday to support our football team, band, dance team, and cheer team as we compete in the State Semifinal Championship... only the 2nd time in Boerne HS history we have advanced this far. We also are in transition from our Fall sports to Winter sports and basketball and soccer are full swing. Finally, next week, we have our Fall Semester Exams (schedule included below). ***Pay particular attention to each day on the exam schedule as it is not our normal daily schedule.
Reminder parents, make sure your student is attending school every single day possible and be proactive as a student and parent on the student's academic progress. Overall, we are still not meeting our expected attendance rate. Attendance is required by State Law and also proven to be the best indicator for improving and maintaining grades. Contact your student's Assistant Principal if you have attendance questions. We do have some students in jeopardy of losing credit for classes because of their poor attendance. This obviously would affect their chances of graduating if they lose credits. We are steadily making progress daily, but the we still have a ways to go. Check Skyward regularly and communicate when there are concerns and/or questions. Make sure there are good, two way lines of communication between the student and parent and the student/parent and the teacher. If you would like to contact a teacher, please visit this website for their contact information: Teacher Directory
Everyone has a role in our students education... the students, teachers and staff, the parents, the community... "IT STARTS WITH YOU!"
