Bomb Threat?

Security was tight in Sochi on Wednesday as letters in Russian making a "terrorist threat" ahead of the Sochi Games were sent to Olympic committees of at least five countries.

Congress aren't sure if Russia is safe to ensure that the athletes will be protected enough.

The bomb threats could be a big trigger. If bombs did go off the fighting could continue and start a revolution.

Vladimir Putin links gays to pedophiles

Russian President Vladimir Putin has offered new assurances to gay athletes and fans attending the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics next month. Yet he defended Russia's anti-gay law by equating gays with pedophiles and said Russia needs to "cleanse" itself of homosexuality if it wants to increase its birth rate. This is a big problem and its being handled to the extreme and that could trigger a revolution for gay rights.

Russia's possable causes

About Russia

Russia is the largest country in the world covering 6,592,734 square miles. it has some of the worlds largest rivers and deepest waters. In the winter it getting unbelievably cold and in Siberia the winters last nine months. the population of Russia is 140.7 million. In Russia the main religion is Christianity. Russia has natural resources including oil, natural gas, coal, diamonds, and precious metals that give it great potential for economic growth and development. Although Russia has great resources the economy is unstable for many reasons including an inefficient distribution system, political uncertainties, poor infrastructure, high inflation, low tax-collection rates, low-quality production, organized crime, and corruption. Russia has a president and a prime minister which they are able to vote for at the age of 18. The health care and education are similar in a way that if you want good quality of either it is really expensive and if you cant pay than they are free but very poor quality

Could there be a revolution?

I think that the two story's at the top of this page are the things that could most trigger a revolution. Through all of the other stuff I don't think that its severe enough the trigger a revolution.

One Step At a Time

I think if they want change in the way things are being run they have to adress each problem separately. The gay rights issue is defiantly enough to start a revolution because people aren't aloud to be who they are and its not just that they cant get married but they aren't aloud to show and affection towards the same sex and that's not going to work so this revolution has to change that as well as taking care of the threats in Sochi which is causing a lot of conflict.

This revolution wont be violent because the reason this revolution is for peace and there not going to get that with people dying and hating each other. there will be alot of support from one and other and they will all stick together wither gay or straight until the end. Russian President Vladimir Putin will be removed and they will elect a new president and with the help of the U.S. they will have support until this is final.
