MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
GRADE LEVEL DISCUSSIONS
Today Ms. Paroubek and I met with each grade level to have proactive discussion to address both schoolwide and grade specific matters.
Key Topics Discussed:
Bathroom Etiquette
- respect the privacy of others
- the bathroom is NOT a social time
- NEVER use your phone in the bathroom,
- cleanliness and appropriate use of resources in the bathroom,
- being mindful of of the number of students in the restroom.
Use of Technology
- smart watches are a personal communication device and are viewed the same as a cell phone
- during the school day cell phones are on silent mode and you do not need to "check the time" when transitioning in the hallway,
- cell phones will be confiscated and returned to your parent/guardian if you take pictures during the school day.
Being Mindful of Your Words
- if you are unsure of the meaning of a word or phrase, do not say it and seek adult support
- Students should be mindful of how their words and actions can impact others.
If there are specific topics you would like to discuss or if you have questions arising from today's grade-level meetings, please feel free to reach out to the school administration.
CHROMEBOOKS
During the Thanksgiving Break students will leave their Chromebooks at school. If your child needs access to their Chromebook for an educational purpose, please contact me to discuss them taking the device home over the extended weekend.
At CMS, we are THANKFUL for the privilege of working with such incredible students and families. Your involvement, enthusiasm, and dedication to your child's education contribute immensely to the positive, successful and nurturing environment we strive to create. Enjoy your Thanksgiving break.
Mr. Tomco
