THE PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
I want to express my appreciation to the Board of Education, Superintendent Jaramillo, and the Excecutive Cabinet for their remarkable commitment to the Community Schools project. It's inspiring to see such dedication towards creating a more inclusive and supportive educational community. By collaborating on this project, the voices of all educational partners - parents, students, staff, and community members - will be heard, leading to greater engagement and participation in shaping the future of our schools. This is a significant step forward towards realizing a more equitable educational program, and I commend AUSD for their leadership in this important effort.
I am excited to witness the positive impact that Community Schools will have on the students, parents, staff, administrators, and our community. The real work begins now, and I look forward to being a part of this transformative journey.

UPCOMING ESSENTIAL TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES FOR ATA UNIT MEMBERS
ATA is dedicated to providing essential training to all unit members throughout the year. We are excited to announce that we have two valuable sessions scheduled for this year.
Our first session, a Stull Evaluation Workshop, is scheduled on Tuesday, October 3rd. This workshop is designed to provide attendees with valuable insights on effectively developing their objectives, the evaluation process, and how to respond to negative comments.
The second session, Know Your Rights, is scheduled on Monday, November 6th. This session aims to provide crucial information on the rights of educators and how to ensure their voices are heard and protected. This session will be instrumental in empowering our members to advocate for themselves and their profession.
The ATA Office will host the two sessions at 4 p.m. Refreshments and snacks will be provided. Meetings are open to all members. Please feel free to invite your colleagues and share this information. To RSVP, please call the ATA Office at (626)289-1933.
