Knob Noster Public Schools - Our Mission Is Student Success!

Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) Days

At this point in the year Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) days will be used in the event that school must be canceled. This will allow for our district to continue learning without missing days of regular instruction. AMI days are being used throughout other school districts across the state and country for cases of inclement weather and other emergencies. Our hope is that our students stay in the routine of learning the rest of the school year and we avoid student make-up days later in the year.

Our instructional platform with lessons and schedule will be provided through Google Classroom. Our students and teachers have been intentionally implementing virtual learning while at school each week in preparation for a scenario where we might use an AMI day. All of our teachers will be available for students via email. Please encourage your child(ren) to follow the suggested schedule shared by their teacher to help them remain in a routine. If you have any additional questions please email or visit your child's teacher or the building principal.

PTO Spring Read-a-thon

Dear Knob Noster Elementary Families,

Read-A-Thon is back! Last time, our students read well over the 1,000 hours that we set as our goal. We have amazing readers! The money collected will be used at our school for our children and your child’s teacher. So far this school year, PTO has supported our teachers and students by purchasing classroom supplies for each teacher, Tumblebooks and PebbleGo for the library, Jingle Jam supplies, and several field trips. Please share your suggestions for how PTO should use the money that is raised on the Sponsorship Form. All students are strongly encouraged to participate in order to make this a fun and profitable fundraiser for our school. Please address any questions you may have after reading this packet to PTO President Danielle Hilton at
