Please share your feedback
It's the time of year when you have an opportunity to provide your valuable feedback on our efforts to create a school climate that supports our students, staff and families for the present school year.
In an effort to increase family response rates, the middle schools are releasing their survey this week and the elementary and high school surveys will be shared in the next 10 days. This SURVEY (click here) about our school comes in two parts. All of your answers are anonymous.
I know that we have approximately two more months of school left. This survey is merely one means we use to collect feedback. Families are always welcome to provide input, ask questions, or share concerns at any point during the year.
Thank You in advance for your responsiveness. We are hoping for a 50% response rate.
LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITY DEADLINE for 7th Graders is Wednesday, April 20th
WEB ("Where Everybody Belongs") is a transition program that welcomes 6th graders and makes them feel comfortable throughout the first year of their middle school experience. Students are trained to act as positive role models, motivators, leaders and teachers who guide the 6th graders to discover what it takes to be successful in middle school. 6th grade students will experience an exciting orientation prior to the start of school, and will meet with their assigned WEB leader(s) throughout the year.
Does your child want to try on the word LEADERSHIP and become a WEB leader? The WEB application can be found here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1GGPVSye4OgRUWZttZrYZG1H0xdO4HxneUQJirZMpwB8/edit?usp=sharing. Applications are due on Wednesday, April 20!

KP Students Take on History Day Competition
KP was well represented at the History Day regional contest in Torrington on Saturday, April 2 by Sophia C, Aidan O., Chris M., Narayan M., Michael C., and Luke U. They rose to the challenge and participated in extremely high level research on the theme: Exploration, Encounter, and Exchange, and then spent many hours creating their final presentation.
We are especially excited to announce that Michael placed 3rd for his documentary on the Wadsworth Atheneum and will be moving onto the state finals contest in May.
Michael C.: Individual Documentary - The Wadsworth Atheneum
Sophia C.: Individual Exhibit - Exploring the Mariana Trench
Narayan M.: Individual Website - Exploring Ancient Chinese Medicine
Christopher M. & Aidan O.: Group Exhibit - Pol Pot's Plot
