Miss Kolesar's Third Grade
Weekly Newsletter for November 7-11
News and Announcements:
- Congratulations to the following students who have moved to Captain on the Super Improver Wall: Dominic and Landon!
- Thank you to our first Mystery Reader Janet DiGiorgio, Olivia's mom!
- The book fair will be held November 8-11.
- Parent-teacher conferences will be held on Thursday, November 10 from 12:30-8:30. Our class does student-led conferences. Your child will attend and participate in the conference. I will send home your time slot on Monday. I have been able to honor everyone's request for times at this point.
- There will be a half day of school on Thursday due to parent-teacher conferences.
- Congratulations to Ryan Alleva, who is October's Citizen of the Month for Responsibility!
- We won the elementary box top collection contest with 820 box tops! The PTO will supply us with food for a party. Great job, third graders!
- Happy Birthday to Ryann Ofstad! (9 on Nov. 6)
- We have learned multiplication facts for 0-5 and 10. This week, we will begin learning the facts for 6-9. Your child should practice multiplication facts for a few minutes each night. You can purchase multiplication flash cards from the Dollar Store, make your own set at home, or just orally quiz your child. Learning multiplication and division facts and recalling them quickly is a major part of third grade math.
Happy Halloween!
