Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (Pennies for Patients)
The student council has partnered with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) again this year to participate in their Pennies for Patients program. This program raises money for children in our area who are battling cancer. The money we raise helps local children and their families with hospital and medical bills. In our school we have placed posters of the “Hero’s” we are working to help. They are the children we can see and read about to help put a face to who we help. Our goal is to one day put an end to childhood cancer! Every penny counts, so if you are able, we would appreciate your donation. TJ’s goal is to raise $2,000.
Spirit days will accompany the two weeks March 8-19 of our fundraising. A letter will go home next week with the days so you can plan ahead.
Our students and staff enjoyed the Space Station Conservation Livestream Special and have an opportunity to start saving energy AND earn cash rewards for doing so! If you haven’t yet, please sign up for your FREE energy efficiency kit and reduce your home’s carbon footprint. Every 100 kit requests earns our school $250, and there are 10 grand prizes for top energy-saving schools this fall! Visit MyEnergyKit.org or call 1-855-386-9548 to request your kit before May 31st, 2021. Thanks for supporting our school!
