Week 9 CRE Movie
Good Afternoon Chinooks!

As we wrap up another week here at CRE, we are again thankful for your support in following the guidelines and helping us keep our buildings open. Please check your students masks to make sure they follow the approved guidelines. A great test is trying to blow out a candle. If you can, the mask is allowing too much through and we ask that you consider wearing one that doesn't.

Next week is Kindness Week! We will be celebrating by highlighting student and adult actions throughout the school and creating paper chains to represent each act of kindness. We will also be celebrating with a spirit week. We hope to see you all in your flashiest attire.

Monday-Kindness Shines Bright (wear your sparkles or neon)

Tuesday- Say Aloha to Kindness (wear your tropical gear)

Wednesday- Dreaming of Kindness (wear your PJ's)

Please mark you calendar for conferences on November 22 and November 23. Students will be home that entire week as we meet with parents and celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday. Below you will find a link to sign up for a time with your child's teacher. These conferences will be done through a 20 minute zoom meeting.

It has recently come to our attention that there is a new negative trend on the playground. Squid Games is an activity based upon a recent movie release where kids take common games, but when they lose they are removed from the games in very violent ways. This can range from pretending to kill the students, all the way to hitting or tackling. Please talk with your students about this game and relay the importance of school safety. We appreciate your help and support in partnering with us as we take on these challenges.

Next Friday, November 12th has gone from a student contact day to a teacher work day. Please make that change to your calendar and enjoy the long 4 day weekend.

The lost and found at Clackamas River is filling up! Please talk to your student about checking for any missing clothing items. If you would like to take a look yourself, please stop by CRE on Monday, November 22 or Tuesday, November 23. All clothing will be placed in the main entrance of the school waiting to be claimed.
