AISD/TEXAS Scholarships
Baranoff PTA Scholarship
Award: (2) - $1, 000
Due: 4/9
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Must be a graduating senior from an AISD high school
- Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better at time of application completion
- Is a graduating HS senior who will continue their education via vocational school, junior college or a 4-year university
- Has demonstrated involvement in extra-curricular activities/or community college service-based organizations
- Must have attended Baranoff Elementary School
DESCRIPTION
The Timy Baranoff Elementary PTA (Baranoff PTA) Alumni Scholarship has been established to recognize former students who have succeeded in their academic endeavors as well as supported their community. In addition, these students possess the desire to further their education. By granting these scholarships, we encourage students to pursue their academic endeavors and hope to strengthen relationships between Baranoff and its alumni.

The Town Lake (TX) Chapter 2021 Scholarship Application
Award: $20, 000 ($5k per year)
Due: 4/14
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- High school senior of African American descent
- Be in top quartile of class rank (3.0 GPA or higher)
- Involved in extra-curricular activities
- Financial need is considered
- Relatives of The Links, Incorporated are ineligible to apply to scholarship
DESCRIPTION
The Town Lake (TX) Chapter will review applications from African American high school seniors attending a university or college in the Summer or Fall of 2021.

April Glenn Cowan Elementary Scholarship
Award: $1, 000
Due: 4/16
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Must be a graduating senior from an AISD high school
- Must demonstrate financial need
- Must have attended Cowan Elementary School
DESCRIPTION
Scholarships for graduating seniors that at one point attended Cowan Elementary School and demonstrate financial need, leadership skills and academic achievement. Also, when complete the application, student is eligible for other scholarship opportunities (some may ask additional questions for students to complete the application).

Gorzycki Middle School PTA Scholarship
Award: $250

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Must be a Graduating Senior Who Attended GMS for at least one year
Cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0

TWPF Scholarship (Women in Public Finance)

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- A woman pursuing an undergraduate degree in the upcoming school year
- Texas resident high school senior for the current academic year
- Attending a Texas institution of higher education in the fall of this year
- Minimum GPA 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

Oak Hill Elementary School PTA Scholarship

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- High school Seniors in AISD who attended Oak Hill Elementary
- Plan to attend an institution of higher learning in the fall of this year

(NAWIC) National Assoc. of Women in Construction -Austin Chapter Scholarship
Award: Amounts Vary: (1) $5,000, (1) $2,000, (2) $1,000

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Applicant must have been accepted into a U.S. Dept. of Labor Office of Apprenticeship program, technical school in a construction trade or equivalent.
- Desire a career in a construction-related field
- Enrolled full-time
- Current cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

- Must be a current student athlete at an AISD high school
- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Must graduate in Spring 2021
- Must be enrolled at an accredited college or university in Fall 2021
DESCRIPTION
The Austin Simply Fit (ASF) Student Athlete Scholarship Fund has been established in honor of a late ASF team member, Coach DJ Cedent. DJ passed away of sickle cell disease in 2019. He was devoted to the development of all athletes he coached, and we know he would be proud that his legacy offers support to rising student athletes.

Grande Employee Memorial Scholarship Fund (GEMS)
Award: Various, in the amount of $500 or more

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- High school senior
- High volunteerism, civic activities and extracurricular activities
- GPA and Class rank is considered
DESCRIPTION
The GRANDE EMPLOYEE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND (GEMS) which was established to honor deceased employees by awarding college scholarships to selected high school seniors in two Grande markets each year on a rotating basis.

- Must have a parent or legal guardian who has been diagnoses with cancer

- Graduate from one of the following eligible high schools: Akins/Crockett/Eastside/LBJ/Navarro/Northeast/Travis
- Be TSI complete in both English and Writing, with a minimum Math TSI score of 345 OR have received an HB5 Course Prep waiver to satisfy college readiness
- Intending to major in a targeted program in Computer Studies & Information Technology; Applied Technology & Engineering, Health Sciences: Manufacturing, skilled Trades; Business; or Education

DTC70/Austin Chamber of Commerce FASFA Submission Scholarship
Award: $2, 500
Due: 5/21
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Student must be from a HS campus that has met the category goals of 70% FASA submission
- Student must submit FAFSA
- Create a promotional video (30 seconds or up to 1 minutes0 to encourage their fellow class of 2021 seniors to file their own FAFSA
- Student must fill out the contest entry form and link their promotional video to enroll in the contest
DESCRIPTION/PURPOSE
The Austin Chamber's College Insight program invites high school seniors to participate in our 2020-2021 social media contest to promote regional virtual FAFSA completion events and encourage early FAFSA submissions to help students qualify for scholarships, grants and other need and merit-based funding for college.
