Kingwood Park Counselors
November
Fall Edition
At Kingwood Park High School we are here for you! We believe in a personalized approach to counseling. Each of our students will receive two individual meetings each year with their counselor. In these meetings, students will explore their goals and aspirations, and discuss the options for their personal path at KPark. We will also be working with students and teachers in the classroom to provide additional avenues for student success.

Advanced Academics
The Humble ISD Advanced Academics Department has put together a presentation regarding Rigorous Coursework: Advanced Placement, Dual Credit, IB, and OnRamps. We invite you to view their presentation here. It's never too early to start planning for high school and beyond.
Humble ISD offers several ways for high school students to earn college credit. Your child can start taking advantage of these learning opportunities the summer after 8th grade. The first requirement is taking the TSIA2 exam (Texas Success Initial Assessment 2.0). This exam is a placement exam used to determine college readiness. Humble ISD will be administering the TSIA2 exam on the following dates and locations:
- 12/3/2022 - SCHS & HHS
- 1/28/2023 - SECHS
- 2/18/2023 - HHS
- 3/25/2023 - SCHS
- 4/15/2023 - AHS
