Conclusion

The overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom was on January 17, 1893 and would not have taken place without the help of President William Mckinley, President Grover Cleveland, and Minister John L. Stevens. This topic is important in history because we should learn how Hawaii came to be. Most of us, people, actually came from a family of laborers which is connected to the annexation. I want you, as the reader, to know how Hawaii became how it is. These men I stated had a role in the annexation.

Is Hawai'i legally and lawfully a state of the Union?

Hawaii is not legally a state of the United States. In order for land to become a state, the President of the United States needs to sign the joint resolution. In the annexation, President Grover Cleveland, President of the United States, did not approve make Hawaii a state. He knew it was wrong and illegal but Minister John L. Stevens went through with the annexation.
