Principals' Message
Now that the school year is well underway we would like to express our appreciation for your patience and cooperation in helping us deal with the many challenges that we have faced and will continue to tackle as we progress on our learning journey in the months to come.
September & October were busy months with students getting back into the swing of classes, the start of many exciting activities and student sporting events.
As always we look forward to your input and suggestions regarding improving the education of your children. It is important to establish cordial working relationships with staff and share with them your insights about how your child learns best, helping them to be successful in the teaching learning process. If you have any questions or concerns please drop by the school or call me.

Halloween Parade Oct. 31
Please join us as we gather in our gym (1:00 PM-1:30 PM) for a Halloween Parade. We ask all parents when they come to please find a spot against our gym walls. All the students will be gathered in the gym middle. We will then parade our costumes around the gym a homeroom class at a time. Please, nothing demonic or violent. Stuck for an idea? Why not try a favorite saint or someone else in history who made a positive contribution. The students will then return to their classes. We ask that students come to school and change into their costumes at lunchtime. The Lunch time day will be adjusted to accommodate for this. Hope to see everyone there.
St. Martin's School Poppy Fund Raiser
Our school is requesting that all students, staff and volunteers bring a toonie to support the Legion Fund-Raiser for Remembrance Day.
New Staff at St. Martin's School
"Hi everyone! My name is Tula and I am so excited to be at St. Martin's School every Wednesday morning for the whole year! I am here to offer Animal Assisted Wellness for our students. I work alongside my dog mom, Mrs. Bohaychuk, Family Wellness Worker. Many thanks to CAAWLS and our St. Martin's Foundation for making this opportunity possible. I love all kids, being read to, going for movement breaks, snuggling, and belly rubs. My favorite snack is apples. I look forward to meeting you if you happen to be in on a Wednesday. If you have any questions about Animal Assisted Wellness, reach out to my mom at kathleen.bohaychuk@eics.ab.ca
Ask your son or daughter about whether they have met me and what they think about having a dog at school!"
