Principal's Message

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving break and got to enjoy some time with family and friends. I wanted to take this month's newsletter to share some personal news with you. I am excited to share that in February, I am expecting a baby girl. While I am so excited to expand my family, I will miss my Ashbrook friends while I am out on maternity leave. We are in the process of identifying an interim principal, and I will introduce you to them as soon as we have a successful candidate.

Congratulations to our Governor's Educator of the Year and Support Staff Member of the Year!

Please join me in congratulating Kelsey Rosvold as our Governor's Educator of the Year and Joyce Alexander as our Support Staff Member of the Year. Both winners received numerous nominations speaking at length about their work with Lumberton's students. We are honored to be able to present them with this award.

Big picture

Recess Reminder

As the weather gets colder, please send your students to school with appropriate coats, hats and gloves. We do our best to get outside every single day that the weather permits for both recess and our mask breaks. Thank you for your help in keeping our students warm!

PTA Annual Holiday Drive

The Lumberton PTA's annual Holiday Drive has started! Wish lists were sent home with your child. Please check your child's folder for this information. You can also access your child's wish list at any time here: Holiday Drive Wish Lists. The drive will end on Friday, December 10th. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated!

For those who are unfamiliar, this program helps to provide children in our community that are less fortunate with coats, clothes, food, and gifts from each child’s specific wish list. In 2020, we were able to help 64 Lumberton children from 28 different families; this could not have been done without your continued support.

Important Message from our Nurse's Office

We wanted to remind families to please keep children home if they are sick or exhibiting symptoms as listed on our AUXS form. We have been noticing many children who are coming in with symptoms who have been cleared on our AUXS app. We need your help and cooperation in this in order to keep our schools open full time and ensure they are safe for our students.
