Apple Achievement Award Winner

Congratulations to our very own Heather Hackett, she is our CUSD Apple Achievement Award winner. She goes above and beyond for our Husky family.

Superintendent's Student Citizenship Winner

Congratulations to Brooke Romero. Hamilton's Superintendent Student Citizenship Award Winner. She completes everything with passion and dedication. She is reliable, takes initiative and always brings a contagious energy of optimism. She consistently demonstrates a wonderful attitude, completes truly amazing work, brightens any room she enters and has a natural way of inspiring and motivating others to do their very best. She truly represents the heart of our Hamilton High School campus.

Coca-Cola Scholars Regional Finalist

Congratulations! Aris Zhu has been named a Regional Finalist for the 2021 class of the Coca-Cola Scholars Program, moving to the next round of the selection process to become a Coca-Cola Scholar and receive a $20,000 college scholarship. It's a big deal! These high school seniors have made it through our extremely competitive second stage of selection and will participate in regional interviews with a committee of Scholar alumni and staff members in the coming weeks. After these interviews are complete, 150 of the 251 Regional Finalists will become Coca-Cola Scholars and receive a $20,000 scholarship.

ORCHESTRA NEWS

Congratulations goes out to two of our HHS Orchestra students are winners in the American Protégé International Piano & Strings Competition 2021, which is open to students & adults of all nationalities & countries. In the Intermediate Division, age 15-18, Boyoung Cynthia Min won second place for her performance on the Walton Viola Concerto, and Brian Yong took third place for his performance of the Barber Violin Concerto. Both winners have been invited to perform in a recital at Carnegie Hall in 2022!

Academic Decathlon - 6 Time Regional Champions!

We are very proud of our decathletes for adapting to an entirely different way of competing, proving that our kids are intelligent, resilient, and driven to remain the top program in the state. A very special congratulations to our incredible freshman, Chloe Zhan, who placed first overall, not only in the region, but in the entire state. To my knowledge, a freshman has NEVER done this before! In addition, every single one of our team earned at least one individual medal. Please congratulate them!

The Jackrabbit Jamoree was hosted by Mesa High School online. It was a tough competition with over 70 schools across the country competing.

Karan Bhullar & Shreya Tripathi came in 2nd place for their DUO interpretation piece.

Novice Lincoln Douglas Debate:

Alexis Li came in 1st place and Gowri Biju came in 3rd place.

In Policy Debate:

Teresa Nguyen and Melissa Lin came in 2nd place.

Public Forum Debate:

Medha Tambe and Orli Sanyal came in 1st place.

Varsity Pomline AIA State Qualifier

Congratulations! Varsity Pomline qualified for state in both pom and jazz. They were the Large Jazz Qualifier Champions!

Hamilton High School student creates UV light boxes

Kristopher Luo created UV light boxes that kill germs to give to teachers at Hamilton High. Kristopher is currently paying for these UV boxes himself. A GoFundMe account has been set up to help raise money for the manufacturing costs. Check out the link below for more information:

Prudential Spirit of Community Awards

Congratulations Anika Attaluri who has been selected as Arizona's top High School youth volunteer in the 2021 Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program. As a State Honoree, Anika will receive a $2,500 scholarship, an engraved silver medallion and a virtual celebration for her work addressing the challenges of a changing world.
