Remote Students:

1. How to pay: All students can pay online through skyward (left side of screen in blue column choose fee management, select your student at Park Crest, choose make a payment),

Face to Face Students:

1. How to pay: You can also choose to pay online through skyward (left side of screen in blue column choose fee management, select your student at Park Crest, choose make a payment), or send check, cash or money order to school with your student.

You are welcome to send money however it's best to pay online at mylifetouch.com. You can search for Park Crest or enter the code EVTN4Q4TH.

All families will have the opportunity to complete the second quarter commitment form

beginning the morning of Monday, November 9 - midnight Friday, November 13, 2020.

The link to the form will be emailed to all family members listed in Family 1 on Skyward.

Families do not need to complete the form if they are pleased with their current

instructional model selection. Only those families wishing to make a change need to

complete the online form. Q3 selections are effective January 5, 2021. The final

opportunity for families to select a change will be for Q4 February 1 - February 5, 2021.

Information regarding the Q3 selection period will be shared via E-newsletter and social

media posts beginning, Monday, November 2, 2020. A Skylert blast will be sent on

Friday, November 6th. All members of Family 1 will receive the link to the form on the

morning of November 9, 2020.

“For more than 100 years, Garland ISD has focused on providing an exceptional education. After listening to residents across our community, GISD has placed a Tax Rate Election (TRE) on the November 3rd ballot.

While some school districts have used TREs to increase their property tax rate, GISD is taking a different approach. If the TRE is approved by voters, our new property tax rate would be approximately $1.34 – a nearly .05¢ decrease from last year and a nearly .12¢ decrease from 2018-19. In fact, the tax rate would be the lowest our community has seen
in six years.

The TRE can impact every student at each of our 72 schools and increase their opportunities while providing property tax rate relief for the second year in a row.
