Principal's Post - A Weekly Note From Mr. Ortman
What a week, Mill Creek! This past week we held Mill Creek Day, promoted our 6th grade students, and held end of year classroom activities. These wonderful events felt like a return to normal, especially our ability to gather together to celebrate our 6th grade students and their families for promotion.
It was a unique but incredible year, and I am thankful that our journey through the 2020-2021 school year happened together!
Congratulations to our students and families who are moving on from Mill Creek. We are so proud of you, 6th graders, and we have such appreciation for the support of our families!
For those who will remain with us as we look towards the fall, I look forward to the upcoming school year, including some normalcy.
In the meantime, have a relaxing and wonderful summer!
Shawn M. Ortman
Principal
From the Desk of Mr. Murtha
I would like to thank the following for helping to make the 2020-2021 school year tremendous and fulfilling for me personally...
- The Mill Creek students
- The 6th grade students who were our resilient leaders during such a challenging year
- The teachers and staff of Mill Creek
- Mr. Ortman... a wonderful and supportive administrative teammate
- The Greater Mill Creek Community (parents/guardians, community groups, etc.)
I do hope I am not missing anyone in the above list, as I am truly grateful for the support I have received in joining the Mill Creek Community this past year, and I look forward to the future of learning and laughter and joy that I know we will all experience as we progress at Mill Creek in 2021-2022 and beyond.
For those families moving on to middle school, best of luck as the learning adventure continues!
Have a wonderful, restful, and enjoyable summer, Mill Creek!
With utmost sincerity and appreciation,
Mr. John C. Murtha
Assistant Principal
