A Message From Mr. Pope
Dear Parents,
This has been a very difficult week for the Riverside community. We often refer to Riverside as a family, and the events of this past week have proven those words to be true now more than ever.
As I reflect on all that has happened since Monday morning, so many examples of heroism and resilience come to mind. This community continues to show up with its unwavering commitment to the wellbeing of our students, staff, emergency personnel, and all those who touch the lives of our kids. At the top of that list is our bus driver, Mrs. Patricia Rodriguez.
Mrs. Rodriguez stands out as a hero among heroes. Her quick thinking and swift actions saved lives. I am delighted to announce that she will be recognized for her courage under fire by our Board of Education at the school board meeting this Thursday, May 19th.
In the coming days and weeks, please continue to keep Mrs. Rodriguez, these students and their families, and the entire Riverside community in your thoughts and prayers.
Your principal,
Ben Pope
