PHMS Announcements: December 15-21, 2019
Monday is Holiday Pajama Day. Wear your Holiday themed pajamas.
Tuesday is Winter Wonderland Day. Dress in your favorite winter clothing. (Jackets, long sleeves, coats, scarves, etc.)
Wednesday is Santa’s Workshop Day. Dress like Santa himself, an elf, a reindeer, or toys from his workshop. Holiday hats and headbands are welcomed.
Thursday is Tacky Sweater Day. Wear your favorite holiday sweater or shirt.
Friday is Holiday Festive Day. Wear anything festive (Santa hats, antlers, ornaments, etc.)
2. The basketball teams have a home game against Lexington on Monday and an away game against White Knoll at WKHS on Thursday. The girls’ games will start at 5:30 p.m. and the boys’ games at 6:45 p.m. Admission is $5.00.
3. The Winter Band Concert will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 17 in the PHMS theater at 6:45 p.m.
4. In the spirit of the giving season, PHMS will be collecting gifts for Toys for Tots. We are challenging each homeroom class to donate one or more new, unwrapped toys. This will give students the opportunity to exhibit the 7 Habits while collaborating with one another to make a contribution to the community. School-wide donation collection will take place Wednesday, December 18th. The grade level with the most gifts will be awarded 10 additional minutes of lunch.
5. The Winter Dance Concert will be held on Thursday, Dec. 19 at LOPAC at 7:00 p.m.
6.There will be an informational meeting for parents and players interested in trying out for Varsity or JV Boys Golf on Wednesday, Dec. 18 in the conference room of the New Gym at Lexington High School at 6 p.m. Please contact Coach Smith at cbsmith@lexington1.net with any questions.
7. Lexington High School soccer tryouts for JV girls will be February 4-6 from 4:00-5:30 p.m. behind the stadium at LHS. Tryouts for JV boys will be February 5-7 from 4:00-5:30 p.m. on the field next to the softball field at LHS. Students interested should stop by the front office to pick up a packet with additional important information.

All orders must be placed before December 16th and will be filled on December 18th. If you want your order to be a gift, please write that on your order form or check the "gift" selection in the online store. We will make sure that it is packaged as to not ruin the surprise.
9. The PTSA will be selling Pelican’s SnoBalls on Wednesday and Thursday during all lunches for $3.00. They will be bringing some one time only holiday flavors for us those days!
10. Holiday grams will be delivered to homerooms on the 18th and any spirit wear purchases will also go home that day.
11. The NJHS will be selling hot chocolate in the morning on Thursday and Friday for $1.00
12. Friday, Dec. 20 is a half day for students. Lunch will be served and students will be dismissed at 12:40 p.m.
Our theme for the school year is LEAD with PRIDE. We hope that this theme will inspire our students to have a feeling of self respect and satisfaction for the things that they will accomplish this year.
