1-2-3-4 We Declare a Penny War!
We are in a penny war with Warner Elementary and Pope Elementary to raise money for CFISD's Police Department’s Community Outreach Program!
When: Monday, February 6- Friday, February 10th from 8:00-9:00 am
Where: Jugs will be set up in the cafeteria. There will be one per grade plus one for Warner and one for Pope
What: This is a great opportunity to get rid of your loose change! Bring in all of your coins to help your grade win. PENNIES ARE POSITIVE. SILVER COINS ARE NEGATIVE.
How: Put all of your pennies in your grade’s jug. Each one = one point. But here’s where it gets fun! Want to sabotage another grade or one of the other schools? Put your SILVER coins in their jugs. They are negative points and will bring down their total. Each day we will count the coins and tabulate the points to have a daily grade winner. If your grade wins, you get to wear crazy socks the next day! The overall grade with the most points at the end of the week will get a popsicle party. The winning school gets bragging rights and the Penny Wars trophy.
Why: IT’S FUN! And more importantly, all proceeds from all three schools go to the Cy-Fair Police Department’s Community Outreach Program. The officers will attend our general meeting on 2/16 where we will present the check and they will talk about their amazing program.
Best of luck to all grades and GO REDHAWKS!
