Bridging the Communication between School & Home
Dearest Discovery Families,
Community is everything. We here at Discovery want to ensure that ALL of our families are doing well and thriving. As your Parent Liaison, my job is to connect you to county resources and help you navigate through all the information. At this time if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me and I will gladly help in any way I can.
Please visit the school page for more information with regards to how I can assist you. There are plenty of resources as you will find below. I encourage you to continue to visit this page as it will be updated throughout the year.
For those families that may need assistance and/or families that are interested in assisting, please submit the following links found in the buttons below.

Backpack Buddies is Back!
Discovery Elementary School, in collaboration with a local non-profit organization, runs its Backpack Buddies program for our students. The Backpack Buddies program is intended for families who struggle to provide food for their families on the weekends.
Due to COVID, the nature of how the program is run has changed. Now, every two weeks on a Friday, families who would like to participate, will receive a bag full of free non-perishable food items. The parent will have to stop by the school between 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. The distribution of food will be confidential, and information will not be shared with other students or parents. If you have any concerns about the distribution time or day, please let me know.
Below you will find the links to the forms.
LCPS Meal Services
