12's factors are:1,2,3,4,6,12
So when you look at all of these multiples I have to find the Greatest Common Factor, or the biggest, witch is 12. So that means 12 is the greatest common factor because 12 is the biggest factor they have in common.
Rectangles Formed by 24
Sam wanted to rearrange 24 desks into a rectangle or a square. He is trying to figure out what ways he can put the desks. You can either put them in a 1x24, 24x1, 2x12, 12x2, 3x8, 8x3, 4x6, or a 6x4 arrangement.
24 is not a square number because you can't take numbers that are the same to equal 24.
