Ohio Stadium

Nestled snugly on the banks of the Olentangy River, stately Ohio Stadium is one of the most recognizable landmarks in all of college athletics.

Ohio Stadium is one of the most recognizable landmarks in all of sports. Built in 1922 at a cost of $1.3 million and refurbished in 2001 for slightly more than $194 million, the horseshoe-shaped stadium is a monument to college football. As part of the renovation, the once portable South Stands became a permanent fixture.

With its present seating capacity of 104,944, Ohio Stadium is the fourth largest on-campus facility in the nation. Since the opening game against Ohio Wesleyan on Oct. 7, 1922, more than 36 million fans have streamed through the stadium's portals.

Ohio State's Starting Quarterback- JT Barrett

J.T. Barrett red-shirted the 2013 season as a true freshman ... a communications major, he split quarterback reps with Cardale Jones in the spring of 2014 while Braxton Miller was sidelined ... he took over the No. 1 signal calling duties in fall camp when Miller re-injured his shoulder ... he was only the fifth freshman - true or red-shirt - to start a game at quarterback for Ohio State in the modern era (1950-on) and he was only the second freshman to start a season opener for the Buckeyes ... his play through the first six games of the season has been nothing short of outstanding, as he has earned conference or national "player of the week" accolades after five of his six starts and he has climbed near the top of the NCAA statistics in several key categories, including passing efficiency (3rd at 182.1), points responsible for per game (1st at 24.0), overall points responsible for (3rd with 144) and he is 10th in total offense (333.0 yards per game).
