The UES Character Strong Theme of the Month is RESPONSIBILITY!
This month we are talking about Responsibility! The dictionary talks about Responsibility in a few ways: fulfilling your duties, being accountable and having consequences, and the independence you can earn to make decisions on your own. We are using this definition at school:
Responsibility: to take action and understand how our choices affect others, ourselves, and the world.
Masks are required! Please help us remind your child that he/she MUST wear a mask on the school bus and in school. Students must have their own masks and should always have a spare mask in their backpacks. We are not able to provide masks to students on a daily basis, only on occasion. Please note that vented or mesh masks are not approved by the CDC and should not be worn for school. | It's Cold Outside! We make every effort to get our UES students outside for recess during the winter months. We monitor the safe temperatures closely and go out for fresh air as much as possible. Please make sure your child has appropriate outerwear for recess each day. | UES Carline As we enter the colder months and drop-off and pick-up traffic increases, we ask that parents please follow all UES traffic guidelines. Please follow the directions of our traffic duty staff. Students may only be dropped off between 7:50 AM and 8:00 AM. Cars should not be on campus prior to 2:40 PM for our 3:00 PM dismissal. Thank you for helping keep everyone safe. |
