Second Annual Keller Shake

On November 11, elementary students from throughout the district participated in the semi-final round of "Keller Shake" at the KISD Administration Building.

Participating in Keller Shake gives students an opportunity to practice using social and conversational skills, including voice, diction, eye contact, and a firm handshake.

The top three students from each elementary theatre department advanced to this round round, where they demonstrated their skills for judges from the Keller ISD Administrative Offices, Cecil McDaniel, Cory Wilson, Dustin Blank, Amanda Bigbee, Kevin Hood, and Shellie Johnson, and enjoyed complimentary pizza and ice cream provided by the Fine Arts Department.

The top finishers from the semi-finalist round will travel to the Keller Administration Building for the final round on December 3, 2014, where they will meet the superintendent, mayor, and many more local celebrities!

Trinity Springs Theatre Notes

Trinity Springs Middle School's Theatre Production class is presenting "Big Bad", a children's play. They will be traveling to Trinity Meadows Intermediate School to present for the 5th and 6th graders, but they will be also be presenting for the community on Thursday, November 20th at 7:00 p.m. at TSMS. Tickets will be $2.00 at the door. Concessions will be sold at $1.00

Trinity Springs Middle School's drama club, The Titan Theatre Troupe, will be presenting a Christmas production called "The Trial of Santa" on Friday, December 5th at 7:00 p.m. in the TSMS cafeteria. It's the trial of the century! Santa Claus is in court with a bratty nine-year old girl (Emily Worthington), and Santa is charged with delivering the wrong present on Christmas Day. This play was fully directed by 8th grader Karen Sager and co-directed by 8th grader Emma Shields. Tickets will be sold at the door by giving two cans of food per person. These cans of food will be donated to the Community Storehouse. Concessions will also be sold for $1.00 each.

Timberview Middle School Presents their First Musical - "Beauty and the Beast, Jr"

Timberview Middle School's production of Beauty and the Beast Junior will be the school's first musical performance ever!

Come out and support these talented students and their directors.

The play runs November 21, 22, and 23 at 7:00 p.m., as well as a noon matinee on November 22. Tickets are $4.00 plus $1.00 for dessert!

December 4th @ 7:30 p.m., December 5th @ 7:30 p.m., and December 6th @ 3:00 & 7:30. Tickets will go on sale soon.

Timber Creek Presents "West Side Story" December 11-13

The Timber Creek Theatre Department presents West Side Story, December 11-13 at 7 PM, with an additional matinee performance at 2:30 PM on Saturday, December 13. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students; KISD employees get in free with ID.

Legally Blonde

Central High School announces their fall musical, "Legally Blonde!"

The show runs December 11, 12, and 13 at 7:00 pm, with matinee performances on December 13 and 14 at 2:30 pm.

Admission is $10 for students and $12 for adults.

Indian Springs Middle School Band Midwest Send-Off Performance

Join the family and friends of the Indian Springs Band at 7:00 pm on December 15 at the Argyle High School Auditorium for the band's Midwest Send-Off Performance.

The Indian Springs Middle School Band will perform the same program they will be presenting at the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago, IL, on December 18.

Keller High School Madrigal Dinner

The 16th Annual Madrigal Gala and Dinner, presented by the Choirs of Keller High School, is set for Friday, December 12th and Saturday, December 13th.

‘Madrigal’ celebrations began during the Middle Ages and continued into the Renaissance period. This winter holiday banquet was not an isolated meal but a series of elaborate festive events filled with pageantry. Trumpet fanfares signaled the service of specific courses and dishes within the feast. Guests danced, told stories, and sang in enthusiastic outbursts of merrymaking.

PERFORMANCE DATES: Friday, December 12, 2014, 6:30pm and Saturday, December 13, 2014, 6:30pm

TICKETS: $25.00 Per Person - Price includes refreshment, dinner, and entertainment

PERFORMANCE ONLY TICKETS: $10.00 --- Sold in advance and at the door

TICKET SALES: Tickets may be purchased in the Choir Room through Monday, December 8th.

District R.O.C.K Art Show

The Keller ISD Fine Arts Department is pleased to present its first R.O.C.K Community Art Show!

Please enjoy the artwork displayed in local businesses throughout the community inspired by the theme "Reaching Out with Character and Kindness."
