RWHS Community Ofrenda
Red Wing High School has been celebrating the Mexican celebration of El Dia de los Muertos by constructing a traditional Ofrenda at the base of the eagle statue in the locker bay. This will be on display November 1-6. Please stop by during conferences and see the display!
You are invited to participate by bringing in a photograph of a dearly departed family member, friend and/or pet in honor of their memory. A table is set up outside of the Art Room so that all photographs can be labeled on the back and cards will be provided to leave a special note if you care to do so. You can then place your photo/card on the Ofrenda. All items must be picked up on Tuesday.
This is a special time of the year to cherish memories of those that are no longer here so that they are not forgotten. Please respect the Ofrenda and decorations used in this space.
If you have any questions, ask Ms. Oakes-J202 or Ms. Bray-F101.

November is Native American Heritage Month
National Native American Heritage Month is celebrated each year in November. It is a time to celebrate the traditions, languages and stories of Native American, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, and affiliated Island communities and ensure their rich histories and contributions continue to thrive with each passing generation. This November and every month, we celebrate the culture and heritage of these remarkable Americans who deeply enrich the quality and character of our Nation. We celebrate Indian Country with its remarkable diversity of American Indian and Alaska Native cultures and peoples while remembering and honoring our veterans who have sacrificed so much to defend our Nation.
