Students Start blended model learning on November 16th 2020
Learning option chosen, now what?
-Pence will be looking at the number of students who have chosen the Home Learning Academy (HLA) and will be working with our teachers to determine how many sections will be needed and who will be teaching those sections.
-We will then work to balance class sections, keeping as many students as we can with their current teachers while making sure we have appropriate class sizes for good instruction while following health and safety guidelines for classroom capacity, adhering to 6' spacing.
-The transportation department will begin determining bus routes for those who indicated the need for transportation.
-All of this will take some time. We ask for patience and understanding while we work through this process. Once student schedules and bus routes have been determined, the information will be communicated appropriately.
Interims are scheduled for October 21st.
Reminder: Rockingham County Schools will not be sending home mulitple report cards over the course of this semester. Students have the opportunity to continue to build upon their current grade(s) throughout. However, we will still have interim reporting periods, with the first one being on the 21st. All grades will be up-to-date on the parents and student PowerSchool portals by noon on that day. If you would like a paper copy mailed home, please call the school.

Virtual Spirit Day! Meet my Pet Day!!!!!
Unity Day is on Wednesday, Oct. 21st
Make it ORANGE and support cohesion and respect! Unity Day is a day where everyone wears ORANGE to show that they believe ALL youth should have the opportunity to live in a community, whether that be in person or virtually, that is defined by respect and mutual acceptance. This year’s Unity Day is on Wednesday, Oct. 21st but since we are asynchronous that day we are encouraging staff and students to wear ORANGE AND/OR to change your profile picture to ORANGE on Thursday, October 22nd in honor of Unity Day.
In the spirit of working towards this aim, below is a resource to help parents support their students in navigating social media and technology in a responsible, respectful and savvy manner.

Parent Control features on Securly

Please see this this link to the letter.

Students/families can request remote tech help using this Google Form. It is linked at technology.rockingham.k12.va.us.
