Message from Principal Jackson
I hope everyone had a wonderful Fall Break! Thank you to all who attended our very successful Donut Days this past week and also to Student Council for all of their hard work putting this event together. We'd also like to thank the PTO Staff Appreciation Committee for the delciious meals they provided to the staff during our evening conferences.
Students will be participating in the Everybody Counts Program next week - this wonderful program is put on by our PTO and helps the children to be more compassionate of those with disabilities. Be sure to ask your child(ren) about the presentations they saw in their classrooms.
Please mark your calendars for the next day off for our students - Elecction Day, November 8. This is a Professional Development Day for the staff.

Early Childhood Classroom Peers
– For Families in the Fishers Community:
Applications for peers in our Early Childhood classrooms are being accepted now. Early Childhood in HSE creates an environment that affords all children the opportunity to develop friendships while becoming leaders and role models. Throughout the educational experience, children will learn about acceptance and diversity. Children enrolled in the four half day (M-Th) Early Childhood classroom will experience a student-centered preschool curriculum enriched with social skills and language skills along with academic activities. The skills and activities are linked to the Indiana State Standards for preschool which are precursor skills designed to promote kindergarten readiness. Children must be at least three years old and not kindergarten eligible. For information regarding how to enroll your child in this enriching learning opportunity, please stop by Brooks School Elementary for an application. If you have any questions about the peer program please contact the early childhood secretary, Beth Kiel, at 915-4250 or send an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Safe Visitor Badge and Visitors
Anyone wishing to volunteer in the school must have a SafeVisitor ID Badge. Please note this policy also applies to anyone wishing to join students for lunch.
