SMS Christmas Concert Information
This year's Christmas concert is this coming Thursday, December 14th, at 6 PM in Rand Hall. Please have your students in their homerooms by 5:45 PM.
If your child is acting in the pageant portion of the evening (all of Grade 4/5 and some others), please have them in the Music room no later than 5:30 PM.
Concert dress will be holiday formal; shirts and ties, Christmas dresses, etc. School dress uniforms are also acceptable, if your child doesn't have any "holiday" attire. Please, no T-shirts or jeans.
Please note: School concerts are part of our school curriculum, community, and tradition. Attendance is mandatory for grades K-8, and is reflected in your students final Music grade.
If you have any questions, please email Mr. Thies at bobthies@smsvt.info
Christmas Clothing Exchange
SMS Parent Tina Crocker has offered to coordinate a Holiday outfit exchange again this year!
If you have clothing that your child has outgrown and are interested in doing an exchange, please contact Tina (jtcrocker@crocker.com).
Thank you!
Project Feed - One week left!
Due to Student Mass today, we have moved this week's weigh-in to Monday.
You can look for an email update on Monday, as we head into our FINAL WEEK!!!
December 15th is our final day!
Thank you for all your generosity. It is an honor to be part of this community.
Go, SMS!!!
Reminder: Free and Reduced Lunch Program
In case you didn't see the announcements at the beginning of the year, Saint Michael School participates in the National School Lunch Program. That means that we provide lunch for students each day, and also that we offer the Free and Reduced Lunch Program.
You can apply for Free and Reduced Lunch Program at any point during the school year. If your financial situation has changed, or you forgot to apply at the beginning of the year: YOU STILL CAN!
Not only do these numbers help our families, but they also determine how much federal funding the school gets for Title I funds, which benefits many of our students. Please help yourselves, and our entire community, and apply today!
Walnut Street: Drop-off and Pick-up!
We understand that as SMS grows, the spaces at drop-off and pick-up become more scarce.
However, PLEASE do not use the rectory driveway or the driveway at AWR Associates across the street to help solve the problem.
Even if it's just for a "few minutes," AWR Associates has clients coming and going at all times: even during pick-up time. Please be conscientious and make sure the driveway(s) are free and clear at all times.
If you are having trouble finding space to park while you pick up your child(ren), please come and speak with us in the office! We are happy to help brainstorm better options with you.
Thank you all for your consideration!
Reminder - Homeroom Box Tops competition began on 11/01/17!
Our all-school Box Tops competition began on November 1st! The homeroom that collects the most Box Tops between November 1st and March 1st will be treated to a Spring Sundae Soiree (YES, with all the fixings!). We have quite a way to go before we reach our annual Box Tops goal of $1,000.00 so keep on clippin'! Thank you!
Next Week at SMS:
