First day of school
The district has approved the new school calendar. The first day of school for students this year will be Thursday, September 17th. Staff will report to the building on August 31st for mandatory district wide professional development.

REOPENING REPORT
The Lowell Public Schools reopening plan prioritizes the safety of our students and staff and is designed to maximize options for families, offering a choice between remote learning or in-person learning. It is important to read through this report to understand how to choose the back to school option that best suits a family’s needs. See link below for full report.
2020-2021 Application for Return to School
****Every parent must fill out the application for their child regardless of their enrollment at the Day School. All Lowell Public Schools students are automatically enrolled in remote learning for the 2020-2021 school year. However, the District recognizes that some families may prefer in-person instruction for their children.
Between August 19-27, 2020, families may submit an opt-in form for in-person instruction and a lottery will be used to assign the limited in-person seats that are available. It is important to note that in-person instruction will only be offered as long as health data continue to support an in-person learning school environment. See link below to access the application.
