From the Principal's Desk

Hello DiPietro Families,

I am sharing the link to outline this last week of school. Please keep your children engaged with the events the teachers have planned.

I wanted to share a fun event we were able to pull-off yesterday. With the help of their families, the DiPietro staff were able to surprise our 3rd graders with a car parade at school. Since we couldn't celebrate IN school, we celebrated AT school (in some way). We, the staff, had a wonderful time and were grateful for the opportunity to wish our amazing 3rd-graders well as they continue on to a new adventure at BMS! You'll be great! A huge thank you goes out to the Memory Day Committee as they created some wonderful gifts and amazing yard signs for the 3rd graders. I've added a few pictures below.

Thank you all for a wonderful first year as the principal of DiPietro elementary. The pandemic threw us for a little loop, but we dealt with it. I'm not exactly sure how our fall will look, but we will keep you updated as decisions are made by the Re-Entry Committee. A huge thank you to the DiPietro staff for their support and guidance as we navigated this year, and especially these last 3 months! Have a great summer everyone!

Have a wonderful weekend.

Your principal,

Miriam Friedman

Here are the details for returning the district's devices:

Thursday, June 18: 12 pm-4 pm

Friday, June 19: 10 am-4 pm

Monday-Wednesday, June 22-24: 10 am-1 pm (as needed)

  • The borrower drives up to the front door overhang at BHS

  • Our team will collect device; power on the device, inspect for damage, ensure we have a power adapter, sanitize, and set aside for appropriate building delivery. We will be prepared with power strips in case the device is not charged.

  • We will have a checklist prepared with the borrower's name including an insurance option (if needed).

  • Users will receive a receipt confirming acceptable return or they will receive a form indicating how much they will be charged to replace the adapter and or/device that is damaged.

**Students that utilize a school-issued iPad or Chromebook for special education services may keep that device over the summer. Information regarding the special education Extended School Year Program for summer 2020 will be provided by the end of next week.
