Monday, April 18 (BLACK “B” DAY) – REGULAR SCHEDULE

  • 8:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. - Angela Norwood with American Fidelity Insurance Company will be here starting today Monday, April 18th, through Thursday, April 21st, to complete the Section 125 Annual Benefit Enrollment for Decatur City Schools. All employees must meet with her to review their current benefits, make necessary changes, and sign the election form for this year. Again, all employees must meet with her and sign off on their benefit coverage. She will be located in the Front Office Conference Room Monday-Thursday (this week only).
  • SOFTBALL –vs- Athens @ DHS – GO RAIDERS!
  • TENNIS – State Tournament all week in Mobile – GO RAIDERS!


Tuesday, April 19 (RED “A” DAY) – NO BELLS

  • 9:30 a.m. – ACADEMIC BOOSTER CLUB AWARDS (9TH & 10TH grades) are being held in the Auditorium (lunch will be adjusted if necessary). Only students receiving an award should attend.
  • 12:30 p.m. – ACADEMIC BOOSTER CLUB AWARDS (11TH & 12TH grades) are being held in the Auditorium. Only students receiving an award
  • 4:00-6:00 p.m. - DCS CAREER EXPO is being held in the DHS Arena
  • GOLF –vs- Priceville @ Point Mallard Golf Course – GO RAIDERS!

2022-23 Edge Student Leadership Program

  • Edge Student Leadership is open to all upcoming 10th and 11th grade students in Morgan County. The program was created to expose students to leadership opportunities in a creative and challenging manner, providing the students with the tools necessary to develop individual leadership skills. The program also encourages students to be a positive influence in their schools and to serve in the community. A commitment by the student of one day a month for eight months is required, beginning in August, 2022.

  • There are three required components to the Application: (1) the Application (2) current report card and (3) two references. All three components must be received by the deadline or the application is invalid. The deadline for Applications is Friday, April 15th.

This is a formal ceremony that includes only seniors who are receiving specific awards or scholarships. The students and their families will receive invitations if they are to be included.
