Parents/ Guardians of our 6th Graders
The 8th Grade WEB Leaders would like to invite your 6th Grade student to join us for an evening of connection with older mentors, fun, games, and of course food. The event is free and will be held after school in the Aux gym on March 22, 2019 from 3:15 p.m.-6:00 p.m. The students will be split into their WEB groups and go to different rooms to participate in a variety of activities and before we finish they will be fed dinner. Please pick up your student at 6:00 p.m. from the Main Gym/North End of the building.
Thanks and hope to see your student there,
WEB Coordinators: Joe Kloiber, Lauren Hibbard, and Kyle Malin
Contact Kyle Malin with any questions: malink@wawmsd.org, 414-329-6600 ext. 7438
Principal Message
Dear Lane Families,
The Forward Exam tests all students in the areas of reading and math and select grade levels in science and social studies. One or more subtests may be administered daily during the identified time frame and it is very important that your son or daughter be in school during this time. Students not in school on the scheduled testing days will be scheduled for a make-up test prior to the close of the testing window.
Forward Testing will start March 19th. Below are two links for families. I have included the Family Brochure that explains testing and Lane's testing schedule.
As 3rd quarter is coming to a close, continue to use the Skyward Portal is check grades. If there ever is a question, please contact the classroom teacher for clarification. We view the connection between school and family vital in student success.
In addition, we are planning events as we move into 4th quarter. We are creating opportunities to increase family engagement; we are building and improving our classroom libraries to increase access to literacy; and we continue to build the sense of belonging by working with the Peace Center.
