PTO UPDATES

Menchie's Day

Menchie's Day is today, October 13th, from 11:30 am to close. Mention that you are with Washington Irving and/or bring the flier from today's Thursday folder, and the school will receive 15% of sales!

Teacher Appreciation Day

Teacher Appreciation has changed this year and instead of doing one full week of bringing items to the teachers, the days have been spread throughout the school year. Celebrate your child's teacher(s) on Tuesday, October 18th with their favorite drinks, restaurant and/or her favorite salty snacks. A file of favorites can be found on the Washington Irving PTO Facebook Page.

Alfredo's Day

Next Tuesday, October 18th, from 11:00 am to close, is the first of two Alfredo's Fundraising Days. Alfredo's is generous enough to donate 10% of ALL SALES made that day, including CATERING! PLEASE go and visit Alfredo's on Broadway for lunch and/or dinner, and if you have any reason for catering that day, give them a call!

PTO Meeting

Join us Wednesday, October 19th in the Art Room for our second general PTO meeting.

Thunder Nights

Tomorrow is the last day to purchase your discounted tickets to the Thunder vs. Heat game on November 7th. Refer to the flyer sent on September 26th to your email address from the school for information and instructions, and call Kim Heussner with any questions. The sales have been phenomenal! We are so glad to have been able to provide this opportunity to our parents! Contact me at wendidial@cox.net for questions about Thunder Nights.

Winter Carnival

The PTO has started planning a School Carnival Family Night in February with a Silent Basket Auction for the adults. Proceeds will benefit the educational needs of the school, and we need your help. Keep an eye out in your Thursday Folder for a flyer with their class' silent auction basket assignment listed. We would like to give you the assignment now as the holiday shopping season begins, so you may take advantage of sales, etc. Any items you wish to donate do NOT need to be brought to the school until the end of January. Look for more information on the Carnival in the coming months in Wolf Notes, the Newsletter, and from your homeroom mom. We are so excited and honored to be planning this night of FUN for our students and for you!

PTO Fundraising

Now through October 31st, Chad McCoy with Liberty Mutual is offering a $15 donation for each car and home/renter insurance quote. This fundraiser is not limited to just Washington Irving parents...anyone can also earn money for our school with a FREE NO OBLIGATION quote. For more information, visit our PTO Facebook page (facebook.com/groups/washingtonirvingpto/).
