Summer Send Off Planned for Next week!!
Student Council and Class Councils are planning a "Summer Send Off" the week of June 14th. This week will be a time for all of Thomas to celebrate the end of a challenging year and show some school and class spirit and competition.
We will have dress up days starting with 'Murica Monday and Tuesday on June 14th and 15th followed by class color days on Wednesday and Thursday. So wear your Patriotic gear on Monday and Tuesday and then shift to your class colors for the end of the week.
Classes will compete in our annual Can Jam to support the Goodness Initiative. Help fill the community stands in the greater Rochester area by bringing in the food listed here for your class and place them in the designated bins by the cafeterias all week long. We are racing to the top so the class with the highest stack by the end of the week, OR whoever reaches the ceiling first, wins.
During lunches on Wednesday and Thursday you will have the opportunity to purchase lunch from food trucks that are coming to Thomas. Enjoy lunch outside with us on these days.
The competition will go all week including murals that each class have already been working on as well as judging the best class shirt for the year. All week long we'll be keeping track of participation in dress days and can jam. Teachers will be catching students representing CARE attributes and participating with school spirit. When you scan the QR code you'll choose "student council" and be entered in a drawing each day for prizes including T-shirts, food truck coupons, and more. The class with the most participation by the end of the week will get their class on the Spirit Stick for 2020-2021.
Contact your class officers and advisers or check out the posters and fliers hanging around school for more information.
