Mrs. Hladun's Tidings

We hope you find time to relax and recharge over the long weekend! A reminder that there is no school on Monday, 9/7 in honor of Labor Day. I also want to take a moment to recognize that Friday, 9/11 is Patriot Day, a day we commemorate the loss of life on 9/11/01. It goes without saying that we appreciate the ongoing sacrifices of all of our military on active duty, our veterans, and our first responders.

We are a few weeks into distance learning, and I encourage you to review the virtual learning expectations that we shared at the start of the year. One expectation that I'd encourage you to consider relates to muting background noise. I've heard from staff and families about uncomfortable situations where classes have heard private conversations in the background with family's doctors, friends, partners, and children. This kind of background noise can be very disruptive and distracting for our staff and students. You can review the expectations here: and you can learn about a few ways to mute a Google Meet here: We know that you can't always have your child learning in a separate and quiet space, but mute is always an option!

If your family is in need of student insurance options, please check out this option - click here and to apply online, click here.
