BTES Staff Updates
September 23, 2019
- Thanks to Mr. Steinmetz for going above and beyond with helping out sixth grade staff with the Holt problem. Tremendous idea!
- Mr. Colarusso did an awesome job of stepping in for Mr. Waldron and myself for after school soccer. You are appreciated.
- Mrs. Mongalari deserves a shout out for taking charge of the students who were after school and keeping them occupied until Mr. Colarusso could take over.
- Make some noise for Mrs. Bruno for showing off her artistic ability and creating the wonderful bulletin board with the mirrors.
- Mrs. Finamore did an awesome job with decorating the walls for Back to School Night - Thanks!
- Give Mrs. Mulholland a high five when you see her for helping out with the Holt problem. She viewed many of the CD's and figured out what could be beneficial for all. Nicely done.

Peer Classroom Observations
Please fill out.
Map testing will begin this week. Mr. Waldron is creating the classes within NWEA and will share directions on how to login and get to your class. We are still working on the math diagnostic. Thank you for being so patient.
- Please make sure you continue to share pictures on Facebook. We have an awesome school and we want to showcase all the wonderful things that happen at BTES.
- Every once in awhile send out a Remind to your families about something positive that happened in class. A picture is worth a thousand words.
- Continue or begin to make positive phone calls to all the students who are doing the right thing each and every day.
- We will start to use Project Team more during the first week in October.
- Use the folder Homerooms 2019-2020 for all pictures this year. These folders should be filled with pictures by the end of the year.
Just wanted to share with you a couple of things that will be going on this year that are new.
- This November we will have our first "Turkey Bowl - Flag Football" at the new field in Vet's Park. Thursday, November 21 5th grade and Friday, November 22 6th grade. I am looking to make this a special day and am looking for anyone that can help me plan.
- BTES will have a "Young Entrepreneurs Club" after school with G&T. We have just purchased a Poster Maker through Title IV grant money and the goal of this club will be to create a business and to see if the students can work with budgeting, book keeping, and logistics.
- Coming in February Capoeira will be taught to all our students during physical education. This is something that was part of Title IV grant money and we are excited to learn more about this art form.
School Voicemail Message
Please make sure your voicemail message is welcoming. This is an example of mine: "You have reached the office of Dan Prima, Principal of the Berkeley Township Elementary School. At the tone please leave your name, number and a brief message and I will get back to you shortly. Have a great day. Thank you." You do not have to copy mine, it was just an example. Please view attached to help with setting up your voicemail message. Mr. Podesto can also help with this task if necessary. http://bit.ly/2m77dmv_BTES_Is_Great
