President's Message
September was a HUGE month! We had a lovely Family Movie Night featuring Pokémon Detective Pikachu, thank you to Monica Platten and Orna Adams who put that fun event together for us. I would also like to thank Jonathan Lee and Shannan Keenan who setup and ran a successful Book Fair for a week with their team of volunteers.
How about that incredible Fun Run?! We really appreciate the support of our amazing students and families who rallied to raise funds for our school. A very special thank you to our VP of Ways and Means, Ashley Andrew and the Fun Run committee whose long volunteer hours and commitment made this such a successful and enjoyable event. Thank you to all of our parents who came to cheer on our students and volunteered for the Fun Run day. Your presence made the day extra special! Go team Vista!

The Vista Art Docent Program is beginning in October. Our volunteer Art Docents are ready to help students create one of the most recognizable pieces of art in the world, Edvard Munch’s famous “The Scream”.
Students will be using water color pencils to recreate this work of art. The red sky, the deep swirling blue of water, and the strange twisted creature is Edvard Munch’s emotional response to an intense sunset.
The “Scream”, just one of over 1000 paintings created by Munch, is his most well-known work.
