Welcome Back Rockbrook Bulldogs!
Dear Rockbrook Families,
HELLO and WELCOME to the 22-23 School Year!
For returning and new families alike, I hope your school year is off to a wonderful start! Many of you know me, but for those new to Rockbrook, let me introduce myself. My name is Lisa Davis, and I am the school psychologist at Rockbrook Elementary. This is my 18th year as a school psychologist and 4th year with Westside Community Schools.
I serve a dual role position at Rockbrook, which means I provide both counseling and psychological services. I teach whole group class counseling lessons in grades K-6, small group interventions, and work individually with students. I also provide district and building level supports for our Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), which are district processes that guide the decisions we make about supports, services and instruction our students may need.
In this newsletter, you will find information about district and family resources, a quick overview of topics covered in class counseling, and links to a few mental health supports. My goal is to help all children succeed in their academic, behavior, and social-emotional development. I am a resource for all students and families. Please reach out with any questions, concerns or needs that your student or family may have.
I am looking forward to a great school year!

The Backpack Food Program
The Foodbank of the Heartland along with Woodhouse Auto Family provide The Backpack Program to families at our school and around the metro area.
The Backpack Program is designed to provide food for children at times when other resources are limited or not available, such as on weekends and vacations from school. All of the food is child friendly and shelf stable. The food is delivered to the school for children to bring home in a bag on Fridays to have for the weekend. In the event that there is no school on a Friday, the food bags go home on the last day of the school week. This program runs throughout the school year.
If you are interested in participating at any time, then please contact me so your child can be delivered a bag each week.
Operation School Bell
Operation School Bell is a unique shopping opportunity sponsored by the Assistance League of Omaha. Families that participate are provided with a voucher to JCPenney-Westroads to shop and choose clothing for their child(ren). This shopping even takes place in early October and serves children Kindergarten through 8th grade.
