- Congratulations to this year’s recipients of the QuestBridge National College Match, which is a college admission and scholarship process through which high-achieving students can be admitted early with full four-year scholarships to QuestBridge college partners. Out of 20,800 applicants, 2242 received a match this year, and we have 5 recipients from The Academy at Palumbo!

SEAMAAC's annual Toy Distribution is just one week away!
SEAMAAC will be distributing new, in-box toys to children in the community on Friday, December 15, from 1PM-5PM at the Ford PAL Rec Center (609 Snyder Ave). Children of all ages (0-17) are welcome. A child must be present to receive a toy, and we are limiting it to one toy per child.
We have reached our maximum number of volunteers for the event, but we are still in need of toys. People can donate via our Amazon wish list and have toys sent directly to our office, they can make a monetary donation on our website for us to purchase toys with, they can bring toys directly to our main office (1711 S. Broad St.) from Monday-Friday between 9AM-5PM, or they can drop toys at one of our toy collection boxes placed around the city. Our current collection locations are:
Black and Brew - 1523 E. Passyunk Ave.
Herman's Coffee - 1313 S. 3rd St.
Hive Cafe - 1444 S. Broad St.
Forin Cafe - 2041 Coral St.
Batter and Crumbs - 1401 Reed St

Also attached are flyers in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese, Indonesian, Khmer, and Nepali that announce the date, time, and location of the toy distribution. Please feel free to widely share these flyers!

2024 Provost’s Summer Mentorship Program
The Provost’s Summer Mentorship Program (SMP) is a signature initiative of the Office of the Provost and the Office of the Vice Provost for Student Engagement.
PROGRAM DATES:
July 8, 2024 – August 2, 2024
Designed to increase college access for first-generation, low-income, and other under-represented students; SMP is for rising 10th grade, and 11th grade applicants, enrolled in a Philadelphia (and surrounding area) High Schools, including Public, Charter, Private, Catholic and/or Virtual Schools.
The Provost’s Summer Mentorship Program offers insight, exploration, and hands-on experience in the fields of study offered in the following Penn schools and/or programs:
Dental Medicine
Penn Engineering / Robotics
Penn Engineering / Bioengineering
Carey School of Law
Perelman School of Medicine
Nursing School
SMP, in its eighteenth year, was established to inspire and encourage young Philadelphia scholars to view college as an attainable goal and encourage students to seek enrollment in four-year, post-secondary, educational institution of their choice. Launch of The Griffin Fund
The HSA is excited to announce the launch of The Griffin Fund - an annual fund that will support specific needs of the school. This year the fund will support Palumbo Athletics. You may access more information here.
Palumbo Self-Care Stations - Accepting Donations
Throughout Palumbo, students have access to self-care stations where they can get snacks and self-care items. Help us fill these stations by checking out the Amazon Wish List which was provided by Ms. DiGiuseppe.

Important - Medical Forms need updating
There are two medical forms that need yearly updating for all students. If you have not already done so, please complete the medical information form and the med-1 form which allows our nurse to administer medication to students while in school.
If your student tests positive for Covid, the reporting form can be found here as well.
