Andy Haas, Superintendent
As we enter this April break, I hope you and your families find time to relax, play and recharge.
We have many activities planned for the next couple of months. K-2 is taking a field trip to the Montshire Museum in Norwich, VT and students in grades 3-6 are planning a visit to VINS in Quechee, VT. On May 11th, there will a presentation for Families and the Community given by Lynn Lyons at 6pm at BFUHS. Be on the lookout for a flyer for our Chili Cook-Off Carnival happening on Friday, June 3rd from 5-7pm at GES.
Enjoy this much needed and deserved break and we will welcome students back to school on Monday, April 25th.
Stay well,
Angela Cartier

What is your favorite book and why?
I love the book Owl Moon by Jane Yolen. I love that the story is about a girl and her father and the simple thing that offers a great reward.
What is your favorite number and why?
My favorite number is 15. It is the number I wear when I play sports.
What is your favorite season and how come you love it so much?
Spring is my favorite season because it is the beginning of warm weather. I love when the birds sing, the trees turn green and the flowers start to bloom and all of that is a sign that summer is coming!
Do you have any pets?
Yes, I have 2 dogs and a cat
What is one thing you could not live without?
I could not live without my family.
How long have you worked at GES and what do you love most about our school?
This is my second year at GES, my first year was 2019-2020. I love the sense of community here.
Tell us another fact about yourself or something interesting!
I have 2 daughters and 2 granddaughters and I live in Saxtons River just a couple of miles from where I grew up.
