Be strong and take heart, all who hope in the Lord. Psalm 31:25
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! On behalf of the staff here at St. Stanislaus School, I want to wish you all good health, safe travels, family joy and peace as you celebrate this sacred time of year. May you find Jesus, the perfect gift, under your tree.
The Christmas break begins tomorrow, Thurs. Dec. 21, at 1:00. The day begins with 8:00 Mass followed by special lessons prepared by the teachers. At 11:45 the student body will gather to welcome the baby Jesus into our hearts as we respond with “yes” to Las Posadas. Students will then eat a sack lunch and return to their classrooms for parties prepared by parents. Party time is from 11:30 – 12:45. School dismisses at 1:00 p.m.
Tomorrow there is no After School Care (ASC). When ASC is not in session, about 100 more students are waiting in the car line to be picked up. Please be patient and cautious if the carline is extended onto Route W. Because of our caring drivers this always seems to work out. Thank you for taking the extra precautions! Busses will run the regular routes at 1:00 p.m.
Because of the number of absences the school has experienced this week, the report card deadline has been extended so that students can complete missing assignments and take tests during that first week of January. Report Cards will be sent home on Jan. 10.
Classes resume on Wed. Jan. 3 with the regular schedule.
Thank you for returning the self-study surveys. These will help us identify our strengths and weaknesses.
Many thanks to you for gifting the teachers and myself with cards, baked items, gifts, gift cards, smiles, and well wishes for a Merry Christmas. Our school is so blessed because of the wonderful families we serve. May God continue to bless us all in the new year.
