Fabulous Phoenix Families-

As part of our district effort to prevent suicide and promote positive mental health, as well as meet the requirements of Adi's Act, BASE will be delivering lessons, engaging in discussions, and sharing resources to support student mental health throughout the year during Crew lessons beginning in October.

This week in Crew, students will be filling out wallet cards from Youthline, brainstorming three people to go to for support and three activities to do to destress. YouthLine is a free teen-to-teen crisis support and help line. No problem is too big or too small. Teens are available to help daily from 4-10pm PST (adults are available by phone at all other times) https://oregonyouthline.org/

~College & Career~

Our counseling website is available with current information being updated! The college and career section has updated college rep visits. Students use the sign-up button, add their name to the spreadsheet, and pick up a pass outside the future center for their teachers to sign. Bring the pass to the library to virtually attend the rep visit via Zoom.

BASE scholarship list is updated and available on website. Letter of rec packet is also available under the college and career section.

Seniors will be filling out the Oregon Promise in Crew classes this week to apply for free community college tuition.

The FAFSA and ORSAA applications opened on October 1st, and students should sit down with their parents/guardians and fill this out as soon as possible!

Thanks to those seniors who have gotten their Letter of Rec packets to their counselors! Those should be turned in one month before your first college application date!
