Students May Bring a Towel Tomorrow (Wednesday)

Our class will receive a special reading time in the courtyard tomorrow as a result of winning a door decorating contest! Students may bring towels to sit on if they would like.

Spring Pictures are Thursday

Picture forms were sent home on Monday. On the form, you have the option to choose which background you would like for your child. You will have the option to purchase pictures when they are sent to the school.

Earbuds/Headphones for MAP Testing

Our class will be taking the MAP test on Chromebooks this year. Students will need earbuds or headphones for the test. Students MAY bring a pair from home if they would like but it is not required. The school will provide headphones for any students that need them. Headphones can be sent to school any time before April 11.

Science Fair Updates

Project proposal packets have been approved and given back to the students. You can go ahead and start experiments any time. Below are some dates to keep in mind:

  • March 22-April 1 Conduct experiments and gather data (I will check in with students on progress.)
  • April 1 Project boards will be sent home for students to begin working on displays.
  • April 4-8 Time will be given for students to type and print displays, if they are not able to at home.
  • April 15 Experiments completed and results given to teacher.
  • April 25 Project boards are due at school (boards should not be returned before this date)
  • April 29 Science Fair

Parents, I will send home a paper copy of these dates so you do not have to keep this email. We will be looking at examples of science fair boards at school. I want the kids to feel confident in each step of the process. If they aren't, or if you have any questions, please let me know!

Field Trip

Field Trip notes were sent home last week. I have received several back, and can make more copies if needed. We will be going to Wilson's Creek National Battlefield on Wednesday, April 27. See the field trip note for more information!
