The mother will carry the genetic traits for RP. It is an X chromosome linked disorder. Mostly males are affected. RP causes the affected person to slowly lose vision over time. This can be attributed to mutations of the cells in the eyes.

  • Gene therapy
  • Healthy cell transplantation
