American Education Week

Language Arts


Our main story selection this week is titled Helen Keller and this is another informational text. In Lesson 14 our Essential Question is “How do you know when story ideas are important?” Target skills are fluency (natural pauses), proper nouns, long 0 (o,oa,ow), and main ideas.

In writing we will be learning how to write to persuade.

Math

ENVISIONS MATH

Subtracting 2-digit numbers will be our goal in Topic 9. We will begin with learning how to regroup 1 ten for 10 ones, and slowly work our way towards subtracting 2-digit numbers. Our problem solving focus will be "Two-question problems".


FIRST IN MATH

Keep up with the great work on the First in Math website. This is a wonderful activity to help strengthen your child's math skills on different levels and provide enrichment. www.firstinmath.com
