Remote Model of Learning
Update
Class Adjustments
As we move through the remote model, expect some changes to your child's class schedule. Teachers are evaluating their classes and making adjustments to meet the needs of our home learners.
Moving toward Hybrid Learning
The following information about PPE, filtration, and Screening must be considered before opening.
PPE Must be a two layer cloth. Face shields are no longer acceptable-unless you have a mask on too. Bandanas, neck gaiters, scarves, buffs, and masks with exhalation valves are no longer accepted as appropriate ppe. Students will be provided a disposable mask if the mask they come to school with does not meet the requirements. | Filtration RRVCS has older heaters and we are working to test MERV rated filters. The NMPED requires greater filtration to help reduce the risk of COVID spread. NMPED will approve the filters before we are able to open. Additionally, RRVCS is in the process of outlining a filtration protocol | COVID Screening & Decision Tree Staff and students on campus must complete a screener each day that he/she is on campus. A yes answer to any one of the screener questions and/or a fever of 100.4 requires that the staff member or child to be sent home for 10 days. Regardless of if the person thinks is is allergies, fatigue from working in a remote setting, smoke in the air from surrounding fires, etc. The person is able to seek out a COVID test and if negative, return to school after 24 hours and improving symptoms. |
