The Many Ways to Study an Artwork
The Tallahassee International is an annual juried competition organized by Florida State University Museum of Fine Arts. The competition is open to all media and is juried by a panel of faculty from within the College of Visual Arts, Theatre and Dance.

- Study one of the images for symbolism and sketch it in your journal.
- Share your first reaction of the artwork in writing.
- Take a second look for additional meaning created by the artist by choice of subject, color, or other references. Write about what you learned.
