May Library Update

Greetings from the Keeper of the Keys. April’s focus in the library was on celebrating all the reading students have been doing this year. Second, third, and forth grade students chose their favorite books and completed book talks. Kindergarten and first grade students continued with their genre studies by moving into poetry. In the Highly Capable club, students began their projects. May will bring more poetry, and continued research.

Spotlight on Learning: Writing in First Grade

Students in first grade pretended they were superheroes and wrote about their super powers and how they would use them. See below for some samples of their fabulous writing.
