Tech Tip #1
Lightning tutorials to get you going!
Screenshots
Windows 8.1 (on the laptop)
Strategy 1
To take a picture of your screen, press the 'fn' button at the bottom left & the insert (print screen) button at top right of your keyboard. This will make a copy of the screen. You will need to paste it onto a file on another program such as Word or PowerPoint.
The keyboard shortcut is fn+prt sc (print screen) and then "paste" (right click or ctrl+v)
Strategy 2
Another strategy added in Windows 8 is automatically saving the image to a "screenshots" folder in your pictures folder. To do this, you apply the method above fn+insert and add the Windows logo button. You will see the screen dim for a second while it captures the image.
Th formula is fn+Windows logo+prt sc
iOS (on the iPad)
Strategy 1
To take a screen shot on any Apple device such as the iPads we use, hold the home button and the Power button simultaneously. The image will be saved to your camera roll.
